Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
SHIFTS: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Location: Sault St. Marie, MI
Job Summary:
As an LPN, you will be responsible for providing basic medical care to patients under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. Your duties will include monitoring patient vital signs, administering medications, assisting with medical procedures, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure the well-being of patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare providers
2. Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team
3. Assist with medical procedures such as wound care, IV therapy, and catheterization
4. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
5. Educate patients and their families on self-care techniques and medication management
6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop care plans for patients
7. Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients during their treatment
8. Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff
9. Adhere to all healthcare regulations and best practices
10. Participate in continuing education and training to stay current on medical advances
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Completion of an accredited LPN program and current LPN license
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
3. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment
4. Attention to detail and ability to multitask
5. Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients
6. Ability to work as part of a healthcare team
7. Basic computer skills for medical record keeping
8. Physical stamina to stand and walk for long periods of time
9. Knowledge of medical terminology and basic nursing procedures
10. CPR certification
